SOUL IN MOTION

Two renowned Mexican talents, Elisa Carrillo and Simón Ghraichy, come together to express, through music and dance, a dialogue that arises from an intimate space, where their artistic expressions find their primary source of inspiration. Soul in Motion is the manifestation of that dialogue translated into music and dance, connecting all human beings through emotions such as love, passion, loss, and hope.

Soul in Motion intertwines the mastery and elegance of Elisa Carrillo, awarded the prestigious Benois de la Danse Prize, with the exquisite sensitivity of Simón Ghraichy, who, in addition to his piano performance, created original arrangements for this production. Throughout the program, the public will enjoy choreographies, solos, and pas de deux from the universal ballet repertoire, such as Angelin Preljocaj's Le Parc, Mauro Bigonzetti's Duetto Inoffensivo, and Mauro Di Candia's Dying Swan, as well as the world premiere of choreographies rooted deeply in the cultural backgrounds of the protagonists.

This exceptional cast of principal ballet dancers from Staatsballett Berlin and Berlin Ballet Company delivers their soul through their passion for music and dance, creating a space where artists and audience come together and share experiences of love, longing, loss, sadness, pain, joy, hope, and dreams.

In addition, the choreography made by Arshak Ghalumyan for the three world premieres for this occasion—Memories of the Alhambra, Alfonsina y el Mar, and the iconic Danzón No. 2 by Maestro Arturo Márquez—elevate the performance, blending tradition with innovative expressions of movement.
The unifying element is the soul, that essence we all share, inviting each person to discover the emotions within their own being.
